I've seen special de-shedding shampoos. How do they work?

If your dog has a serious shedding problem, and you've had it up to here with fur flying around the house, consider trying a special deshedding shampoo.

Deshedding shampoos are designed to keep your pet's coat moist, and are often fortified with vitamins and fatty acids to help keep your dog's fur sleek and shiny. Some deshedding shampoos even function without any wetting or rinsing – actions that can strip your pet's coat of healthy natural oils.

But don't think that just because you're using a de-shedding shampoo on your dog, you can stop your regular grooming regimen. No matter what products you use on your pet, you need to stay on top of those sessions.
